20. Umpire Liaison Officer (Man.)


Role title
Umpire Liaison Officer.

Brief outline
A member of the Management Commitee of the Club. You are the point of contact both internally and externally for all umpire and umpiring related matters.

Reports to
Secretary.

Responsible for
Umpires.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain a list of club umpires and their level of qualification.
  • Ensure club umpiring requirements for league matches are fulfilled.
  • Liase with opposition ULO's to ensure umpires are provided for home and away games.
  • Establish home umpire arrangements with opposition clubs as required.
  • Act as club representative at local Umpire Assosciation.
  • Working with the Club Development Officer, identify and encourage suitable members to become and support the development of future umpires.

Attributes need for this role
Organised, effective communication, able to deal with last mintue changes.

Training / Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge needed
None.

Estimate time required to give for role[list]
Upto 1 hr per week during the main season.
